Andrew Rossell, P.E.
Founder/Senior Civil Engineer
Andrew Rossell is a Western Michigan University alum with over nineteen years of civil engineering experience in a wide range of tribal, federal, municipal, commercial, residential, and industrial development projects. He is particularly knowledgeable of stormwater, zoning, and permitting guidelines throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Andrew is actively involved with the Southwestern Michigan Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as a director and past president and with the ASCE Michigan Section as President. Andrew is married to his high school sweetheart, and together, they have two cute little girls. Andrew and his family love sports, spending time outdoors and on the water.
Jason Raleigh, P.E.
Senior Civil Engineer
Jason Raleigh joined the AR Engineering team in 2017. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University and has over thirteen years of engineering experience in a wide variety of projects, from simple commercial and industrial developments to complex residential subdivisions, schools, and medical campuses. Jason has successfully completed many municipal road and utility projects, following them throughout the design and permitting phases and overseeing construction to ensure compliance with municipal and state requirements. Jason is actively involved in the local chapter of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers serving on the Southwest Chapter Board. Jason is married and has two young daughters. He enjoys spending time outdoors and camping with his family.
Spencer O’Dell, P.E.
Project Manager/Civil Engineer
Spencer is a graduate of Western Michigan University and has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Spencer joined AR Engineering as an intern in 2015 and has since worked his way to Project Manager. He is well versed in all things site design and currently works on projects throughout Michigan and Indiana. He is actively involved in ASCE and is now serving as Past-President of the Southwestern Michigan Branch of ASCE. Spencer, his wife, and son are active in their church and enjoy spending time camping, playing board games, and working on their house.
Whitney Pizzala
Project Manager/Civil Engineer
Whitney has been with AR Engineering since graduating from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2015. She interned at the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City of Portage during her college years. In her nearly seven years with AR Engineering, Whitney has worked on a range of projects including small commercial retail, industrial, and municipal projects. Whitney and her husband are from West Branch, Michigan, and now live in Kalamazoo with their three rescued cats.
Andrew Woloszyk, E.I.T.
Civil Engineer
Andrew (a.k.a. Red) joined the AR team as a summer intern in 2017 while finishing his Civil Engineering degree at Western Michigan University. He grew up in Detroit and moved to Kalamazoo to attend Western Michigan University. He has experience in stormwater design, commercial site development, and site permitting in municipalities throughout Michigan and Indiana. Red is actively involved in the ASCE and serves as the Southwestern Branch Secretary. He enjoys spending time up north with his family, canoeing, and hiking in the woods with his wife.
Carolyn Kurtz, E.I.T.
Civil Engineer
Carolyn graduated from Western Michigan University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. While at WMU, she was President and the Steel Bridge Team Captain for the student chapter of ASCE. Carolyn interned with AR Engineering in 2019 and was hired full-time as an E.I.T. upon graduation. Since starting at AR Engineering, she has gained experience in small and large scale commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Carolyn was born and raised in West Michigan and enjoys running, spending time outside, and playing board games with her husband.
Emily Grunewald, E.I.T.
Civil Engineer
Emily recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Emily began working at AR Engineering as a summer intern in 2020 and has since come on full-time. Since working at AR Engineering, she has gained more experience designing utilities and developing plans for commercial developments. Emily moved from Munster, IN to attend Western Michigan University. In her free time, she enjoys working out and spending time with her family.
Stephanie Putt
CAD Technician
Stephanie Putt joined the AR Engineering team in September 2022 as a CAD Technician. She is currently working on her AAS Degree in Engineering Technology from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Prior to joining the team at AR Engineering, she worked two jobs to help put her daughter through college at Albion. Stephanie is a Kalamazoo native and enjoys cooking, hiking and watching hockey.
Brady Darrah
CAD Technician
Brady joined the AR Engineering team in the Spring of 2019 as a CAD Technician. He has attended Western Michigan University, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College focusing on CAD and engineering. Brady moved from the Saginaw, Michigan area to attend college. His previous work experience includes surveying and construction inspection. Shifting to the industry of manufacturing and production, before joining AR Engineering. When not at work, Brady enjoys spending time camping, kayaking, and modifying/restoring cars with his wife and their two dogs.
Samuel Kindermann
Survey Crew Chief
Samuel joined AR Engineering in the Fall of 2022 and has three years of experience in Surveying, including Boundary, Topographical and ALTA Surveys, as well as Construction Staking. Prior to joining the team at AR Engineering, Samuel served in the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Propulsion Technician where he learned the skills and discipline that he carries throughout his work today. Samuel is married to his high school sweetheart, has two children and together they enjoy all the amenities Southwest Michigan provides.
Jennifer Haase
Accounting Manager/Office Administrator
Jennifer joined the team at AR Engineering in December 2018 and has extensive experience in office management and accounting. She has worked in both the public and private sector and owned a residential construction and development company with her husband for over twenty years. Jennifer is married, has two daughters and four grandchildren. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoys traveling, cooking/baking, interior design and is a lifelong cheesehead.
Brian Chobot
Construction Inspector
Brian joined the AR Engineering Team in May 2023. Prior to coming to AR, he was a corrections officer and worked in construction. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors with his family. He is married with four children and a fifth due very soon, and has three dogs.
