Commons at Little Bark Creek is a 66 unit new construction community that will feature a three-story multi-unit building, including community space, as well as 3 duplexed townhome units.

Additionally, the new site features detached garages, a small playground, gazebo, and outdoor space such as a bark park and raised gardens. Project sits on approximately 8.1 undeveloped acres and adjacent to Little Bark Creek. ARE provided survey management, civil engineering and landscape design for the development. Site design consisted of private road and parking, water and sanitary main extensions, storm water system and accessible routes. Construction started in June of 2015 and expected completion is Spring 2016.

Dollar General

ARE has worked on over 100 Dollar General retail developments across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Provided Surveying, Planning and Development services comprised of:  site and grading plans, sanitary and water main extensions and laterals, storm water management plans, storm sewer and detention basin design, architectural coordination, zoning and development permitting, community relations, landscape plans and traffic analysis for drive approach. Although the national retailer has prototypical plans for the building, each project site and municipality is diverse relating to the site development aspect making each project unique and challenging in various facets.

Allegiance Health Chronic Care

Civil Engineer for the renovation of the existing Allegiance Health Chronic Care facility. Civil services included parking reconfiguration and addition, storm water system revamp, fire protection main, bulk oxygen tank, and accessible route analysis and redesign. The extreme site grades presented grading and accessibility challenges. The project is under construction and expected to be complete in November of 2015.

Ann Arbor Department of Veterans Affairs

In Fall of 2015, the Department of Veterans Affairs in Ann Arbor encountered a significant breach in their electrical conduit penetrations in the mechanical room of Building 31. ARE provided civil services for the emergency investigation and repair of the high voltage electrical feed to Building 31.  The solution involved inspection and analysis of the issue, all-encompassing measures to ensure the intrusion was resolved, and to address other drainage problems in this constricted area. The area presented multiple challenges given the congestion with buildings, walls, utilities and other features unable to be disturbed. The project is under construction and expected to be completed in late November of 2015.
